Replacing versus rebuilding

Fitting a replacement gearbox
Any replacement gearbox should be fitted with a fresh clutch kit on a manual, or a serviced torque converter and new fluid and filter on an automatic. Automatic and DSG units often need to be adapted or reset to the vehicle after fitment. Flush the cooler lines so debris from the failed box does not carry into the replacement. We supply the gearbox; fitment and adaptation are handled by your workshop.
